About Us

North View Church has an amazing heritage.

In the 1980’s a gentleman named Buddy Crowder came to the Noonday Baptist Association with a burden that the Dallas community would soon have a need for more churches. As someone who had been instrumental in starting churches in neighboring Cobb County, including Piedmont Church and Burnt Hickory Baptist, as well as others, he had a heart for meeting this need for people. Therefore, he purchased 17.75 acres on Old Cartersville Rd. in preparation for the launch of a new community oriented church.
Fast forward nearly twenty years and Noonday approached Mike Faulkner who had pastored Crestview Baptist Church in Marietta about the possibility of planting such a church. Not coincidentally, Mike knew Buddy Crowder because Crestview was the church Buddy attended as a child.
Thus in January of 2001 Mike and his family began to plant the seeds for the launch of NVBC in April of 2001 when we would begin meeting at Northside Elementary School.

Bible

Since our launch in 2001

We have sought to remain faithful to Buddy Crowder’s vision that North View would be a community oriented church with a passion to see lives change by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. in 2004 we moved onto the acreage that was given to Noonday. From there we are training those who profess to follow Jesus to do more than participate in weekly worship, or as Mike calls it “simply sitting and soaking.”
To facilitate this, we offer weekly Bible study, D-Life, with a twist. Each person that joins in Bible study is expected to also participate in quarterly missions/ministry projects. These are not intimidating experiences, but fulfilling opportunities to prepare meals for hungry children, interact with our neighbors through Backyard Bible Clubs, block parties, mission excursions to other communities, packing food boxes to feed local families or any number of other activities whereby we demonstrate the love of Jesus. Thus, we seek to put into practice as individuals and as a community of faith what Jesus is teaching us.
